I have followed wrestling all my life. I have seen matches, angles, promos, interviews, swerves, and champions from at least 4-5 different eras. However, the closest I have ever come to the business is my seat in Madison Sqare Garden at a live event. Even in interviewing professional wrestlers, I am but an outsider, opening my eyes, ears, and mind to all things wrestling. I have read books, articles, watched DVDs and any old footage I could to become as much of an expert as I possibly can, but I've found out that until I land a job inside the wrestling industry, I will never have the insight those on the inside do.
After this historic Monday, all I could think about was giving my perspective on the events of the night. I wrote my Raw review, but I felt like I could give more. Along the way, I was reading everything I could find about what went down in the hours before, during, and after each respective show. In that search, I came across something I could never duplicate. When I read this man's opinions, I couldn't help but feel they were spot on. They should be, as he has been involved in wrestling for about 20 years. Instead of trying to match what he did, I must concede to this man, as his experiences in and out of the ring trump mine any day. I hate to admit it, but it's true. With that said, I must point you in the direction of this article. From what I've found (and I've read A LOT), his views are the best on the internet regarding March 8th. Below is a link to the website of a champion in ECW, WCW, and WWE who now blogs and runs a wrestling school, Lance Storm. Enjoy! I know I did.
