The Edmonton Oilers have traded Andrew Cogliano to the Anaheim Ducks and in exchange, the Oilers received a second-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Everybody in "Oil Country" knew Cogliano was on the way out.  Since the Dany Heatley situation of two summers ago, in which Cogliano was linked to trade rumors, his progression as an Edmonton Oiler seemed to be on the decline. 

"Cogliano, 24, was a first-round pick by the Oilers, taken 25th in 2005. He has never missed a game since entering the League and finished this past season with 11 goals and 35 points."  NHL.com 

Cogliano has an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 21.

This created the perfect storm for a trade of Cogliano to the Ducks to pick up a second-round selection.  I think this is...
