Clips Visit Garden: More Important Than You Know
410

Tonight, the Knicks will take on the Clippers at the Garden and face the best young talent in the league with Blake Griffin. The Clippers got smashed last night against the Orlando Magic and have an aging point guard in Baron Davis. Griffin and Eric Gordon are the two young studs who make that team go. Period.
Tonight's game is a bit more important than many may think with all the Carmelo trade talks switching gears from the Nets to the Knicks to the Lakers and so on. To be quite honest, it gets exhausting. With that said, tonight the Knicks need to go out and make a statement. Amar'e Stoudemire needs to own the paint along with Timofey Mosgov. Raymond Felton needs to show he can be a consistent scorer and passer in the offense, much like he has done all season. The Knicks need a blow out win at home. Why? Because New York is the best fit for 'Melo and everyone knows it. Going out and making a statement that they can play and with the addition of 'Melo can contend in the east. Period.
If the Knicks come out of the gates playing the solid ball that helped them on their winning streak earlier in the year, the fans, coaching staff and management should be pretty confident that they could land 'Melo and build on what they have. The proposed trade with Minnesota is the best offer the Nuggets have at this current time and with a bit of aggression from the Knicks management to get the deal done and bring 'Melo here will pay off dividends in the end. But, it all starts tonight with a home game against the Clippers and the potential to go out and own the court.
