Clint Bowyer dominated the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 from Kansas Speedway to finally win a race at his home track. Today marked the 400th race in the Camping World Truck series as well.
Bowyer took the lead early, and led often to finally win at Kansas. Austin Dillon won the pole, but Bowyer made short work of him and took the lead out of turn two on the first lap of the race and never looked back. He led five times for a total of 124 laps led.
Austin Dillon's day started promising by winning the pole, but quickly went south when he was penalized on lap 52 for speeding on pit road. He was then penalized again on lap 99.
Points leader Cole Whitt was also penalized for speeding on lap 59, but was able to work his way back up to the front before the race was over.
Kyle Busch was never a factor in today's race which is very uncharacteristic. He started 11th, and quickly worked his way up to the front. He then had an issue on pit road about midway through the race and again worked back up to the front, but just never had a truck capable of competing for the win. Busch ended up finishing sixth. Rookie Joey Coulter got by Busch coming out of turn four on the final lap.
