Week 2 is in the books at the English Premier League and Chelsea repeated its 6-0 performance against Wigan in week 2. Chelsea was kept to 1 goal in the first half but then exploded in the second half. Granted Wigan is not the strongest of teams but 12 goals in 2 weeks is a lot of goals.
In other EPL news Manchester United conceded a very late goal (90th minute) off a header to Fulham to allow a 2-2 tie. Off a last minute opportunity to tie the game, Fulham earned a corner which was headed home by Hangeland in the 89th minute, just short of stoppage time. Just five minutes earlier, it looked like Hangeland was going to be the goat of the match.
Off a Man United corner that no one seemed to want to either clear or score, the ball hit Hangeland on the shin and went into the back of the Fulham goal. Just moments later it seemed that the game would be out of reach when Man U was awarded a penalty kick, but Nani put it just to the left of Stockdale which was saved easily.
The highlights of the game were definetely the keepers. Both of them made point blank saves that kept their respetive teams in the game.
In the tenth minute of the game Scholes scored on a worm-burner from over twenty yards out.
