So its done. The Green Bay Packers get it done with a 31-25 win over the the Pittsburgh Steelers and are now Super Bowl champions for the 4th time in team history and I finally as a fan of the Packers am able to enjoy this win. I've been a Packers fan since the age of 8 when one Brett Lorenzo Favre lured me away from the Tennessee Oilers/Titans where my heroes were guys like the Late Steve McNair, Kevin Dyson and Frank Wycheck. Ever since my conversion to a cheese head I've seen highs like the 2003 wild card win over the Seahawks in Overtime to lows like 4&26 vs the Eagles in the same 2003 playoffs and the heartbreaking loss in the 2007 NFC title game to the New York Giants. With all this, I've still stuck by the Packers although I still rooted for Brett to have success with the Jets and Vikings. I sit here now with my Packers hat in front of me with a big grin on my face that's on the verge of breaking my face in half.

The last time MY TEAM won it all was when my Edmonton Eskimos won the Grey Cup in the CFL in 2005. I've had a few close calls with the Edmonton Oilers run to the Stanley Cup finals in 2006 and the Packers past playoff runs in the 2000's and Kevin Dyson coming up one yard short in the Super Bowl vs the Rams in 2000. I'm on cloud 15 right now, cloud 9 was wayyyy to low for me to express my excitement right now. When the Edmonton Oilers finally do get redemption and drink from Lord Stanley's mug again I'll probably be on cloud 55 but right now the Packers are the NFL champs, everyone else needs to try again next season.
