There was a lot of news coming out of Celtics nation today with the Shaq signing, Rasheed retirement, and NBA schedule release. All of this news provided tons of bloggable (if that's a word) topics for us Celtics fans to talk about.
With all of these happenings one thing that seemed to float under the radar was the signing of second round draft pick Luke Harangody. Harangody will join the Celtics on a two-year deal that will earn him around $1.3 million dollars, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wonjnarowski.

Harangody is one of the most promising second round picks to come out of the draft in recent years. He averaged 16.6 points per game in Orlando Summer League action to help establish himself as a real threat to make the C's squad this season.
The coach of that summer league squad, Maine Red Claws head coach Austin Ainge, stated in a recent interview that Harangody is one of the hardest workers he's ever coached. Ainge was really impressed with what he saw and at that time went as far as to say that Harangody could have an impact this season in Boston (although he'd love to coach him in the D-League).
One guy who must not have seen what Harangody accomplished in Summer League action was the newest additon to the Celtics - Shaquille O'Neal. During today's press conference introducing Shaq, the Celtics announced the signing of Harangody. At that time O'Neal leaned over to coach Doc Rivers saying, "Who's that?".
The move now puts the Celtics roster at fifteen players. Unless they find a way to get rid of Sheed's contract, this will be the lineup we see roll out on opening night.
