Ok, Carson, we get it. You won the Heisman Trophy. You were 1st overall pick in the draft by the Bengals in 2003 after a formidable stint at "Dynasty USC". You were selected to the Pro Bowl twice in your career. You're tall. Good looking. And apparently, watch Suze Orman with your nest egg $80Mil.
So why the sad eyes, Cars? Can I call you Cars? Well, I'm gonna. It's better than Palm... believe me. So, Cars, what's troubling you in Cin-City? Is it the fact that you got injured and haven't gotten any airtime lately? And by this I mean football. In the air. Time. Or is it that you didn't get enough "air" time as in "TOChocinco" time. Were they stealing your thunder? Or did they not create enough thunder? Methinks the latter. Hmmm... so many promises, so many misses.
Yes. You're a good quarterback. Yes. You should've had a sensational season with TOChocinco. But it didn't quite work out that way. So you run for the hills? Fine. Go run for the hills while I self interview... myself.
All in all, Carson Palmer is a good quarterback. And he could be a great quarterback. But to retire or be traded? That's downright threatening... and we, the fans, aren't fans of threats. It's bad enough that our beloved SPORT might not be back next season... muchless you as a Bengal or Jaguar or a Lion.
So, go. Go sit on your high horse-bengal-wad (new hybrid and/ or curse word). And never play the game again. Your idle threats aren't affecting us. Now if you brought Ochocinco and T.O. down with you, that's another story. Please dont' do that - they're too entertaining.
We, as fans, have bigger issues at hand. The entire game might not be back next season. Not just you. So, congratulations on your $80Mil!!! Woo Hoo!!! Go you! Here's hoping for a comeback season! As in - Please come back next season... NFL.
