Taj Gibson Friday night was your night. After having 2 very bad games against the Rockets and Spurs, Taj came back strong against Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks. Gibson has 17 points, including his first 3 pointer, 18 rebounds with a block and assist while fouling out in 29 minutes of action. The win gave the Bulls two wins in the usually very dangerous Texas Triangle to start the Circus road trip The 88-83 win was an overall team effort with Rose leading the way scoring 22 points and 6 assists combined with Taj scoring and rebounding and Noah another double-double land with 10 points and 17 rebounds plus 5 assists. Luol Deng had a so-so game with 8 points on 4-10 shooting while grabbing 7 boards. Starting shooting guard Keith Bogans continues to struggle with an 0-5, all of which were behind the arc, night and with Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver playing so well off the bench you have to wonder how long he will remain in the starting lineup. Former Bull, Tyson Chandler, had 8 points and 10 rebounds with 6 of those points coming from the foul line where he went 6-9. He also has 3 blocks while picking up 5 fouls. The Bulls will get to enjoy the weekend on the road before playing Tuesday against the Lakers. The Lakers game will start a stretch of 4 games in 5 nights and see them traveling to Phoenix, Denver and Sacramento. I persoanlly am really looking forward to the matchup on Tuesday seeing Kobe, the best closer in the game, against Rose, who has been closing pretty well himself this season. Wednesday in Phoenix will be a nice matchup with Rose vs Nash and we all know the Melo talk will pick up again with the Bulls in Denver but the quite matchup will be Saturday when they play the Kings and Tyreke Evans. Getting 2 wins in Texas was huge and if they could squeeze another 2 wins out of the next 4 it would give Coach Thibs a winning record on his first circus trip. It won't be easy but it is possible the Bulls could actually win 3 of those 4 but it will be tough.
