Over the course of many years, Las Vegas has held many great motorsports events in it's illustrious existence. Some of the notable ones are the yearly NASCAR races at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Monster Energy Supercross and Monster Jam World Finals at Sam Boyd Stadium, and the NASCAR Awards Banquet.
Previously, there have been Formula 1 races held in Sin City, and it also is the site of Evel Knievel's jump over the fountains that caused nearly every bone to be broken in his body. Years later his son, Robbie, successfully landed the jump.
Now, a new happening will come to Las Vegas, and it's famous Strip.
On November 7, during SEMA, the automotive industries premier trade show, the Stadium Super Trucks will make a single-event stop at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, as Round 14 will be a seven-turn, all asphalt course complete with metal ramps and will take place on the property at Caesar's Palace Hotel and Casino.
“Bringing SST to Caesars during SEMA Show week, the world’s most premier automotive specialty products trade event is something unheard of,” said series creator and driver Robby Gordon. “We would like to thank everyone at Caesars Palace and The Forum Shops at Caesars for giving us the opportunity to present a race like this. Getting to race SST trucks on this property is something phenomenal.”
Caesar's Palace is no stranger to hosting it's own events. In 1993, World Wrestling Entertainment, then known as the World Wrestling Federation, held their annual Wrestlemania event at a makeshift outdoor arena at Caesar's, and nicknamed it the "World's Largest Toga Party." The event had a feel of the old Roman Empire.
“Through the years Caesars Palace has always set the standard and continually raised the bar on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Caesars Palace Regional President Gary Selesner. “An event like this is special because it pays homage to the historical attention-grabbing events that Caesars Palace is known for, yet also brings forth a new element of exciting entertainment for our guests.
"We are thrilled to welcome SST with this monumental event and encourage locals and race fans alike to join in on the action.”
Alongside the SST machines, USA Pro SuperMoto and Modified Trophy Karts will compete on the track at Caesar's Palace.
The event is open to the public, with tickets being sold at Caesar's Palace and the SST website. Visit StadiumSuperTrucks.com for more information on this event, and all the happenings in the SST Series.
