Outfielder Brett Gardner and the Yankees have agreed to a four-year extension worth $52MM, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman tweets. Jack Curry of the YES Network was the first to report (via Twitter) that a deal between the two sides was nearly done, and Curry also reported the $52MM figure. The deal begins in 2015 and includes a $12.5MM team option with a $2MM buyout. Gardner is represented by Pro Star Management, Inc.
