The Sun Sentinal repoorted that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD.

“BPD is a well understood psychological disorder. It’s not a form of misbehavior,” said Mary Zanarini, a professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, who treated Marshall this summer.

Having trouble maintaining relationships, trouble controlling emotions, and problems with self image are some symptoms of BPD. Hopefully Brandon Marshall can get help with this. His time in the NFL so far has had no shortage in off the field trouble.

Marshall has been in several domestic disputes with his wife making news. He was also in a limo in 2007 the night Darrient Williams was killed in a drive by. The bullets were actually intended for Marshall.

Marshall had 86 catches in 2010 with 1,014 yards and 3 touchdowns. The treatment he gets for this disorder will only make him a better person and a player. I hope he gets the help he needs. As a Broncos fan I was sad to see him traded as well as Jay Cutler. He was an elite receiver for Denver and when he was traded to Miami I was bitter with the Broncos. Look for a big season for "Beast" and a possible return to the 100 reception seasons he put up in Denver.
