Brad Keselowski gets his 5th win of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night! While Martin Truex Jr. put up a fierce battle at the end, it wasn't enough to catch Brad. Alot of drivers have had that same problem this season and it looks like a LOCK for Brad to win the Nationwide Series Championship. With a 450 point lead now, Brad is pulling away from his closest competitor Carl Edwards who finished 13th in the race.
"That was AWESOME!" said Keselowski after cooling off a bit in Victory Lane. It also didn't come as a surprise when he said,"Our car was really good". It certainly was, after Kyle Busch developed handling problems and some brief side by side racing with Martin Truex, Brad's #22 Penske backed Dodge couldn't be caught!
Other notables were Clint Bowyer who looked to have the car to beat earlier in the race but with 42 laps left was penalized for speeding on pit road and would not be a factor afterwards. Danica Patrick would get her best finish of the season, 21st place although she was 2 laps down.
With this win Brad Keselowski has passed his season high winning record of 4 wins last season which also brings his total of NASCAR wins to 11. This being his first season driving for Roger Penske says loads about the seriousness and quality of the Penske Racing Program as well as the driving prowess of Brad Keselowski!
