The Celtics imporoved top 2-0 in the preseason with a 96-92 victory over the New Jersey Nets. The C's were led by Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Paul Pierce added 15 points and 6 boards. The Celtics backcourts was solid with Nate Robinson scoring 17 points dishing out 5 assists. Nate also hit 3 buckets from beyond the arc. Delonte West was solid putting up 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in a little over 18 minutes.
My Thoughts
Big Baby and Nate' s play reminded me of the "Shrek & Donkey" performance in Game 4 of the 2010 NBA Finals. Delonte looked great off the bench. His veteran savy will be an important asset to the C's this season. Paul gave his usual "Paul Pierce" performance. The Truth was solid. It's now on to Game 3 of the preseason against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday at the Garden.
