Story via The Baltimore Sun:
Best No. 20 ever: Ed Reed or Barry Sanders?Doesn't it feel like Sports Illustrated releases a list of the greatest NFL players by jersey number at least three or four times a year? SI did it again Wednesday (well, Nos. 00-49). Yet somehow, these seemingly quad-annual lists always gets people talking -- or maybe it's just me.
The great debate today -- at least in this space -- is which player should be considered the best No. 20 of all time: Ravens safety Ed Reed or Lions Hall-of-Fame running back Barry Sanders.
Reed, who will one day join Sanders in Canton, has 46 interceptions in his nine years in Baltimore. Sanders, one of the most electrifying players in NFL history, racked up 18,190 yards from scrimmage and 109 touchdowns in his 10-year career.
OK, homers: Who's your pick for the best No. 20 ever? (SI says it's Sanders, and I agree.)
Well I don't agree. I say it's the No. 20 out of Baltimore. Yes Sanders was on a far worse team and he produced inspite of but Reed is has "sticky fingers" and is an offensive player on the defense. He can hit hard and run just has hard. I go with Ed.
