The Boston College men's basketball season likely came to a close today with an opening round loss to a struggling Virginia team. The Eagles failed to muster much offensively and Joe Trapani was 0-7 from the field and finished with just 2 points. Rakim Sanders played one of his best games of the year with 22 points. He dominated rather effortlessly in the paint against Virginia's smaller guards.Reggie Jackson had 18 points and 9 boards and Dallas Elmore had a perfect shooting afternoon contributing 10 points.BC went on a terrible cold streak mid-way through the first half scoring just 4 points in the final 10 minutes. Although they kept the game close in the second period they never had enough gas in the tank to pull ahead or come up with a crucial score. This is certainly a bitter end...
