What a weekend. This series was defined by defense, and not in a good way. Countless times, the Giants made stupid mistakes in the field -- and it cost them. But I'm still not worried. Yes, Aubrey Huff looked pretty bad out there in right field tonight, especially on that Marcus Thames "triple". But I don't think the Giants will continue to make these mistakes -- I just don't. If they were showing a complete inability to even get to the ball in play, then I'd be worried. But four games into the season, defense just isn't (yet) on my list of worries. That said, I'd love to see Nate Schierholtz get a start in this next series against the Padres. Nothing wrong with giving Huff a day off -- and I really want to see what Nate can do, given a chance to start.I don't generally care...
