We went to this all last summer, and rumors have come up again, that the Minnesota Wild are looking to trade Brent Burns.  The Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Jim Souhan writes, "If General Manager Chuck Fletcher thinks Burns is a star player worthy of up to $6 million a year, he will need to try to extend Burns' contract before next season begins.  If Fletcher thinks Burns is too erratic or untrustworthy to warrant a long-term deal, Fletcher will have to trade him."

My personal opinion is that the Minnesota Wild would be out of their mind to trade Brent Burns.  Burns is a 6'5", 224lb defenseman who is a former first-round draft choice, 20th overall in 2003.  This is a player who keeps getting better year after year... this season Brent Burns made the All-Star...
