There is really not a lot going on in hockey right now … summer has taken hold, the free agency window is largely passed, and now it’s time to patiently wait for September when training camps open up and Fantasy pools get going again. One rather interesting part of summer though is the annual arbitration hearings and rulings. All the guys that have been unable to come to terms with their teams on a new contract will go before an arbiter and let their contract fate be decided. Of course a team could walk away from a ruling or trade the player as well, so lots can come out of a ruling.
