The Washington Wizards have started their climb back to respectability last night at the Patriot Center. I thought there was a nice turnout for their opening "Midnight Madness" practice to start the teams new era. I thoughtGilbert Arenas looked good, I thought he moved very well and had an explosive first step and was able to attack the basket like the old Gil! The crowd gave him a nice ovation when he was introduced and an even bigger one when he hit a shot as time expired during the team scrimmage. That reminded me of the Gilbert Arenas who led us to the NBA Playoffs and gave us reason to believe, I have missed that guy, but I think he's back! My impression of John Wall is that this kid is the real deal and will be a handful for opposing PG's to deal with. He is lightening quick and has great instincts. If he and Gilbert stay healthy I believe we may have the NBA Rookie Of The Year and the NBA Comeback Player Of The Year here in D.C.!
