In the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson captured his second race of the season last weekend at Toronto. He was joined on the podium by GEICO Honda riders Justin Barcia and Blake Wharton, respectively.
Barcia leads the points’ race by 16 points over Wilson, with DNA Energy Yamaha’s Ryan Sipes in third.
During last year’s Supercross race at Cowboys Stadium, Dungey took the win en route to earning the title in his rookie year. In the Supercross Lites class, Blake Bagget took the first win of his Supercross career.

Trey Canard says: I’m so grateful. There are so many people from my home and that I grew up with. I have to give it all up to the Lord Jesus Christ. I knew I needed a good start. I knew it would be hard to put in 20 good laps. The whoops were so tough. Gotta’ give a shout out to all you Oakies out here!
Ryan Villopoto says: The track was crazy. I had an OK start. Just kept on plugging away. Some things worked out in my favor. It’s awesome to be back in the points lead.
Ryan Dungey says: Felt great tonight. Got a good start tonight. Had a little mistake over in one section, but overall good night.
Villopoto now leads Reed by six points, Dungey by seven, Canard by 16, and Stewart by 21, as the series heads to St. Louis for Round 14 next Saturday.
For the second week in a row, the Honda Red Riders dominated the AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship competition, winning both the San Diego Supercross and Supercross Lites West classes.
In torrential weather conditions TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed won the Supercross event, taking his first victory of the season aboard his Honda CRF450R, while GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac recorded his first-ever win in the Lites West series aboard his CRF250R.
The first race was held on October 25, 1980, and Mike Bell won on a Yamaha Ryan Villopoto earned his 17th career Supercross Class win; he is now tied with Mark Barnett and Jeff Stanton on the all-time Supercross Class win list Villopoto became the first two-time winner of the season. Since 1974, the first two time winner of the season has gone on to win the Supercross Class championship 23 times.
